Wakefield, MA – Mill and overlay
The mill and overlay of a parking lot to a small office building in Wakefield, MA is now complete. This building has been undergoing extensive work inside and out getting ready for the new owners to take tenancy. What better way to finish off a building renovation project than with a new parking lot. The original parking lot wasn’t in too bad of shape so rather than pulverize the existing lot Asphalt Services, Inc milled 2″ off the top and laid a new 2″ top course of asphalt. Even thought the building was technically vacant there was tons of activity in the parking lot during our project. Aside from us there was at least 4 other contractors taking on electrical, plumbing, flooring, and many other projects. It wasn’t easy to clear the lot out for us but they did it. The milling of the parking lot was done in 2 days splitting the lot in 2 sections. Keeping one section of the lot open during milling. During paving though the entire parking lot was closed so we could complete the paving in 1 day. Normally we specialize in paving in sections to keep businesses open, but with a deadline for project completion 1 day after paving would start it was best to complete in one day. With the building being vacant for “regular business” it was a lot easier to achieve this. Asphalt Services, Inc. would like to extend its gratitude to all the contractors and employees that were working there trying to get the building ready during our project. Without your cooperation and patience this could not have gone off as easy and flawless as it did.
